3 Titans Potential Free Agents the Jaguars Should Target in 2023
The Jacksonville Jaguars’ front office has expressed their interest in bringing back some of their free agents. They want to have a lot more continuity after winning the AFC South and getting to the Divisional Round of the Playoffs.
As successful as the Jags were last season, there’s a feeling they can win even more games in 2023. Their schedule isn’t going to do them any favors though. They still have a chance to make an impact within the AFC South given the turnover it’s undergone. But what they do outside of that is going to be the big question.
The talent on this team has made them better throughout the year, but they have had moments that have shown they might be missing some playmakers. Here are three Tennesse Titans’ pending free agents who could help the Jaguars in those moments and get over the hump while not breaking the bank.

3. Nate Davis, RG
The Jaguars’ front office has to be focusing on improving the offensive line. They performed well at times during the season but they sometimes got pushed around. Meanwhile, the Titans have proven they can consistently move the ball on the ground at will against the Jags over the years.
In fact, there are other areas in which the Titans are measurably better than Jacksonville. Their line play on both sides of the ball has been consistently better and it might be time to take a few players from them and it might not come at a very steep price.
Nate Davis finished the 2022 season on the Injured Reserve. At 26, he is probably looking for a contract that allows him to find security for the later part of his career. He plays primarily at right guard. That’s right behind Brandon Scherff, who is 31 years old and has a history of missing games.
For the first time since 2016, Scherff didn’t miss a game last year but he was playing injured during the later part of the season, so it makes sense to bring in someone that can take his place in case he has to miss time. Moreover, Davis could start at left guard if the team’s brass isn’t sold on Ben Bartch.
According to Sportrac, the contract for Davis would be three years with an overall of $22.412 million. That averages out to about $7.4 million over those three years. That’s a contract that could help the Jaguars in the long run.
The coaching staff has to have felt that none of the depth players were worthy of giving Scherff a break. If nothing else he can be a quality depth move that the Jaguars most certainly need.
