The Jacksonville Jaguars are playing the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday in what feels like the most important game in the history of their franchise. It is going to be super exciting for football fans around the world to take this one in.

For a long time, the Jaguars were the laughingstock of the NFL. They’d have a year or two here and there where they made some noise but nothing ever came of it long-term. Now, they are looking to change that attitude surrounding them on a national level.

Winning this game against the Chiefs would certainly start that conversation. Because Trevor Lawrence is clearly a game-changing quarterback, the narrative about the Jaguars has already changed. They did have a sweet run down the stretch to win the division.

With that in mind, people still expect the Chiefs to blow them out. People think that this is going to be the only game of the four this weekend in which the score is not close. Those people are in for a rude awakening.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are going to beat the Kansas City Chiefs this week.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are going to come out swinging in this one. Trevor Lawrence had his one bad playoff half against the Los Angeles Chargers this past week. He made the halftime adjustments needed and the team was able to mount a 27 point comeback.

If he got all of the jitters out of the way in that game, his first ever in the NFL playoffs, he should be able to come out firing in this one. When that happens, the Jaguars are going to pull off the upset. Beating this Chiefs team would be one of the biggest upsets in the NFL over the last handful of years.

In addition to Lawrence needing to play out of his mind to outduel Patrick Mahomes, it would be nice to see Jacksonville’s defense play at a level that we’ve never seen them get to. If they do, they might be able to slightly contain Mahomes which could be the difference in the game.

Tha Jaguars also have a game changing kick/punt returner in Jamal Agnew. If he is able to be a game changing special teams player this week, that could help the Jaguars as well. Seeing Lawrence start off with good field position could also end up being a big difference.

Everyone is expecting big things from the Chiefs and they should. They have been the best for a long time now. However, it is time fr the Jaguars to pull off a big win in a gigantic way.
