The Jacksonville Jaguars ended several dubious streaks during the 2022 season and they’ll try to put an end to yet another one when they play the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round of the 2022 NFL playoffs. The Jags have lost six consecutive games to the Chiefs dating back to 2009. The fact that the game will be held at Arrowhead Stadium won’t make things any easier.

Head coach Doug Pederson met with the local media Thursday and acknowledge that it’s tough for visiting teams to play at Arrowhead.

“Tough place to play, they’re a good football team”, Pederson said. “A great crowd is loud, they keep pressing the envelope and trying to get the snap off from time to time. You’re trying to stay out of penalties and things of that nature but a tough place to go in there and play. We understand that, so we’ve prepared that way and we’ll see what happens”.

The Jags are an 8.5-point underdog and the weather could potentially play a factor in the game. Then again, not many analysts thought they would come this far. But here they are, and they’ve shown they won’t give up without a fight, so don’t count them out just yet. With that in mind, here are some prop bets you might like for the matchup, per BetMGM.

3 prop bets you might like for the Jaguars vs. the Chiefs in the playoffs

3. RB Travis Etienne, over 69.5 yards (-115)

The Jaguars had trouble getting their running game going against the Chiefs in Week 9. In that game, Travis Etienne had just 11 carries for 45 yards. But Jacksonville was trailing 20-0 in the second quarter, so it’s easy to see why they abandoned the run.

This time around, the Jags will most likely try to get Etienne involved from the get-go and have a more balanced game plan. For that reason, the former Clemson Tiger should have no trouble crossing the 70-yard mark.

2. TE  Evan Engram, over 45.5 yards (-115)

Tight end Evan Engram’s ability to grind out yards after the catch has become invaluable for the Jags’ offense. The former Ole Miss Rebel hauled in seven receptions for 93 yards against the Los Angeles Chargers in Super Wild Card Weekend and should be once again an important part of the Jags’ offensive game plan.

Engram has logged 50 yards or more in five of the last seven games and he should have a productive outing against the Chiefs.

1. Jaguars win and a Christian Kirk touchdown (+600)

Christian Kirk has consistently proven his worth as a No. 1 wide receiver in 2022. Against Los Angeles, he caught eight passes for 78 yards with one touchdown. He’s reached the end zone in the Jags’ last three games and also did it in Week 9.

Trevor Lawrence has a wide array of weapons at his disposal but Kirk is arguably his favorite target. Expect Lawrence to look for Kirk often against the Chiefs. This is kind of a risky prop but it’s worth it if you think Kirk will score and the Jags will pull off the upset.
