The Jacksonville Jaguars are one of the elite eight teams in the National Football League after advancing to the Division Round of the NFL Playoffs. They earned a big Wild Card Weekend win over the Los Angeles Chargers by coming back from a 27-point deficit.

It is one of the greatest wins in franchise history. They were underdogs going in and then things became near impossible when they were down by 27 points. In order to come back from that, you need everybody as committed as possible in addition to a bit of luck.

This was the first NFL playoff game in the career of Trevor Lawrence. Things didn’t start off well for him in the game but he did manage to figure it out and play very well in the second half. He is clearly someone that is going to be a difference-maker for a long time.

In winning this game, they knew that they were now going to play an elite team no matter who it was. Following the results of the rest of the games in the AFC, the Jaguars are going to be headed to the middle of the country to take on the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Jacksonville Jaguars and the rest of the AFC playoff field is set for round two.

The other AFC game will be played between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals. This means that the Jaguars are a part of two very compelling matchups to decide who will play on Championship Sunday for the right to represent the conference in the Super Bowl.

Dealing with the Kansas City Chiefs means two things. The first thing is that the defense better be ready to at least try and contain the best offense in the league. It might be impossible to just straight up stop them but you have to slow them down.

Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback in the NFL and he has a full complement of outstanding weapons led by tight end Travis Kelce. This group, even in losing Tyreek Hill, has been the best in the NFL for multiple seasons now.

They also need to do their best on offense to outscore whatever point total Mahomes and his crew is going to put up. Trevor Lawrence has shown the ability to keep up with anyone but this Chiefs team is a different beast.

It is a tough draw for the Jaguars in the second round but that is the nature of playing in the AFC right now. In order to be the best you have to beat the best. This is an outstanding test for the Jaguars as they continue to develop the organization into a winner.
