The Jacksonville Jaguars will play the Tennesee Titans in Week 18. Although the Jags are a 6.5-point favorite and the Titans are riding a six-game losing streak, head coach Doug Pederson isn’t taking their divisional foes lightly.

It’s good to talk about but you still got to go play and you got to play against a good football team”, Pederson said Thursday when asked about the momentum the Jags are carrying into the game. “Momentum, streaks, wins, losses, water, it doesn’t matter. Just look at Tennesee right there. They’re in this game for a reason and they’re playing for the same things. We’re playing or it”.

“And it’s a little different but it doesn’t really matter. You come out Saturday night, you gotta be ready to go. And you got to play and you got to play with energy”, Pederson said.

Pederson is right. Although the Jaguars seem like a better team right now, they can’t afford to take their foot off the gas pedal yet, especially when they’re one win away from winning the AFC South and making the playoffs. Then again, it’s hard to picture Jacksonville going easy on the Titans based on how they’ve been playing. With that in mind, here are five bold predictions for Week 18.

5. The Jaguars’ defense will keep Derrick Henry under 100 yards

Running back Derrick Henry showed in 2022 that he’s still at the top when it comes to running backs. Heading into the season, it seemed as if he was going to take a step back based on the workload he’s gotten and the injuries he’s sustained in recent years. However, that hasn’t been the case.

The player known as king Henry has 319 carries for 1,429 yards with 13 touchdowns and will be the Titans’ best chance to win in Week 18. That’s why the Jags will make it a priority to stop him. Back in Week 14, he ran for over 100 yards in the first half but only two in the second.

This time around, Jacksonville will do a better job of containing Henry from the very beginning and will keep him under 100 yards.
