Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence goes off vs. Texans: 5 predictions for Week 17
The Jacksonville Jaguars are one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now. The national media has rightfully been giving them plenty of airtime and the attention they’re getting will only increase if they make the playoffs. Given how well the Jags have been playing, it’s rather puzzling that they lost to the Houston Texans earlier this season.
Although the Jacksonville defense was able to hold the Texans to just 13 points, Trevor Lawrence and the offense mustered just a pair of field goals. Looking back, the Jaguars let this one slip through their fingers and probably lingers in their minds.
On the bright side, they’ll have the chance to remove the stench of their Week 5 loss when they travel to NRG Stadium for their Week 17 matchup. With that in mind, here are five bold predictions for the game.
5. Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence will throw 4 TDs vs. the Texans
Trevor Lawrence didn’t throw a single touchdown against the New York Jets in Week 16 but that’s understandable when you take into account that it rained for a good chunk of the game. He will enjoy better weather conditions against the Texans though. According to the weather forecast, there’s a zero percent chance of rain for Week 17.
The Houston defense ranks 15th in passing yards allowed, so Lawrence and the Jaguars should have no trouble moving the football throughout the air. The former Clemson Tiger has thrown three touchdowns or more in a game four times this season. He should do it once against in Week 17.
