Best bets for Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Dallas Cowboys in Week 15
With four games left in the 2022 season, the Jacksonville Jaguars remain in the thick of the playoff race. The fact that they still have a chance is noteworthy when you take into account that they managed to win a combined nine games in the past three years. Cleary, head coach Doug Pederson is doing something right.
Next on the Jags’ schedule are the 10-3 Dallas Cowboys. This will probably be the toughest game in their remaining slate and in Pederson’s own words, “they’ll be playing to stay alive“. A win will increase their odds of earning a playoff ticket while a loss will make it considerably difficult to get in. With that in mind, here are three prop bets you might like for Week 15.
Here are 3 prop bets you might like for the Jaguars vs. the
QB Trevor Lawrence, over 249.5 passing yards (-125)
Trevor Lawrence is currently on a hot streak. He recently told the media that he sees the loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 8 as a turning point and his production backs it up. Over the last five games, he’s completed over 70 percent of his attempts and has thrown for 10 touchdowns with no interceptions. Moreover, he’s coming off a game in which he set a career high for yards in a single game with 368.
Although the Cowboys’ defense ranks second in passing yards allowed in the league, Lawrence should be able to dissect their secondary and throw for 250 passing yards or more. On the other hand, if you think he can score three passing touchdowns for the second straight win, the odds of him doing so are +330.
WR Christian Kirk, first Jaguars touchdown scorer (+460)
Wide receiver Chrisitan Kirk took the backseat in the Jaguars’ win over the Titans in Week 14. On a day in which Trevor Lawrence and tight end Evan Engram set career highs, he managed to tally just five receptions for 45 yards.
On the other hand, Kirk caught six passes for 104 yards against the Detroit Lions, so it’s reasonable to think that his production at Tennessee was the result of that week’s matchup. Throughout the season, Kirk has been the primary target on offense and that should continue against the Cowboys. Thus, it’s easy to envision him being the first Jaguar to reach the end zone in Week 15.
RB Travis Etienne, over 61.5 yards (-125)
Just a few weeks ago, picking Travis Etienne to run for 100 yards seem like a sure bet. But for different reasons (e.g. trailing, injuries), the Jags haven’t been able to get the running game going and Etienne’s production has consequently taken a hit.
But the former Clemson Tiger remains an important piece of the offense and the Jags should get him involved against the Cowboys. In fact, establishing the run would help minimize the impact of the Dallas pass rush, which is why Etienne should be able to cross the 61-yard mark in Week 15.
