The Jacksonville Jaguars have had enough time to assimilate their collapse to the Detroit Lions in Week 13. If they haven’t they’d better do it quick, as they’ll next face off against a hungry Tennesse Titans team.

Head coach Doug Pederson met with the local media Monday and had nothing but praise for the Titans, who also lost in Week 13.

“Good football team”, Pederson said. “We know they’re obviously top of the division, they let one slip away yesterday just like we did. You got two teams that are licking their wounds this week, we’ve got to travel again on the road. We’ve got to be able to have a great week of preparation and practice and we can’t get caught up in the rivalry and the hoopla issue, we just got to be business as usual”.

“We’ve got a lot of mistakes that we’ve got to fix and correct and that’s kind of what this week is going to be about, making sure that we’re on track that way and getting back to fundamentals, details, and focusing on that within the game plan”, Pederson said.

The Jags last beat Tennesse in the distant year of 2019 and if they want to put an end to the five-game streak they’re currently sitting on, they’ve better bring in their A-game to Nashville. With that in mind, here are the odds and a score prediction for Week 14.

Jaguars vs. Titans Spread and Odds for Week 14

Bet $185 on them and win $100 if they beat Jacksonville for a $285 payout. The over/under for the game is set at 41.5 points.

Jaguars vs. Titans Final Score Prediction for Week 14

While it’s true that both clubs are coming off a loss, their circumstances were significantly different. For starters, Jacksonville played a Lions team that had the worst defense in the league. Yet, they only managed to score one touchdown. On the other hand, Tennessee fell to the Philadelphia Eagles, a potential Super Bowl contender, so their losses aren’t comparable.

Philly was able to successfully stuff running back Derrick Henry but that’s because they’ve spent the year beefing up their defensive front. Conversely, Jacksonville has struggled to stop the run… or the pass over the last two months.

The Jags’ defense ranks 16th ahead of Week 14 but it’s kind of deceiving when you take into account that they gave up an average of 12.6 points in the first three weeks but 25.6 per game ever since. Tennessee is far from an offensive powerhouse but they have a stout defense and could make it difficult for the Jacksonville offense to move the ball, especially if Trevor Lawrence sits this one out.

Can the Jaguars beat the Titans? Sure but they would need to play the way they did against the Baltimore Ravens and they haven’t shown they can consistently perform at such a high level, so Tennessee gets the call here.
