Running back Travis Etienne couldn’t finish the Jacksonville Jaguars’ matchup against the Baltimore Ravens but head coach Doug Pederson says he’s ready to go against the Detroit Lions in Week 13.

Even though JaMycal Hasty did an adequate job of holding the fort in Etienne’s absence, there’s no doubt the Jags’ offense runs better when the latter is in the lineup. For that reason, it’s good news that he’s in the fold for Sunday. With that in mind, here are five predictions for the Jaguars’ game against the Lions.

Travis Etienne has had a productive campaign even though he was off to a slow start. Heck, he was one of the most productive running backs in the NFL from Weeks 5 to 9 but he’s sort of hit a speed bump in the last two games, tallying 13 carries for 48 yards. However, he should be able to bounce back against a leaky Lions’ run defense.

As recently as Week 10, Detroit gave up 256 rushing yards to the Chicago Bears, and just last week, they allow the Buffalo Bills to rack up 164 yards on the ground. For that reason, it’s easy to picture Etienne going over 100 yards against them. In fact, he should be able to tally close to 130 yards and maybe even more.

The Jag could keep Etienne on a snap count depending on how healthy he is but even if he gets a limited workload, he should be able to break off a few big runs and go over 125 yards in Week 12.
