Following their 27-17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 10, the Jacksonville Jaguars had the chance to rest and regroup. They will next welcome the Baltimore Ravens at TIAA Bank Field and head coach Doug Pederson told the local media Friday that players are ready to go.

“They came back energized, ready to go, eager, Pederson said. “We’ve had a couple of good days here and practiced, finished up these couple of days but they came back ready”.

Pederson then added that the Jaguars spent the last few days looking for ways to get better.

“You don’t spend a lot of time prepping for this game. You spend more time looking at the first 10 and really evaluating that and trying to come away with some solutions, some answers. Maybe some different things that we haven’t shown or could possibly show here in these next seven games. It’s more about that and self-scouting”. Pederson said.

It’s a good thing that Pederson is trying to fix things that have held the team back and looking for ways to shake things up ahead of their Week 12 matchup. With that in mind, here are five Jaguars to keep an eye on.

After being waived by the Detroit Lions, kicker Riley Patterson joined the Jags before the start of the regular season. He had been reliable for most of the year but he’s missed three field goals in the last two games.

Nevertheless, special teams coordinator Heath Farwell is still in Patterson’s corner and says that the team doesn’t plan to hold a kicking competition in the foreseeable future. Having said that, Patterson can’t rest on his laurels and must repay his coach’s trust.

If the Jaguars manage to make it a close game, every single point will matter, which is why Patterson can afford to miss a single kick in Week 12.
