4. The Jaguars’ defense will force 2 takeaways vs. the Raiders

The Jaguars forced nine turnovers in the first four weeks of the 2022 season but then went on a three-game drought. Tyson Campbell registered their 10th takeway when he intercepted Russell Wilson in London.

Raiders quarterback Derek Carr makes good decisions with the football more often than not and doesn’t frequently throw interceptions. However, he’s had trouble holding onto the football and has a penchant for losing it when he’s under duress.

Since 2014, Carr has lost the most fumbles by a quarterback, with 79, and the Jags have enough talent up fornt to force him into making mistakes, which will lead to a couple of turnovers. Las Vegas will give the Jags’ defense to bounce back and play as dominantly als they did early in the season.

No. 2 Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrnece won’t throw INTs in Week 9

Speaking of quarterbacks, the Jaguars have a promising one in Trevor Lawrence. The former Clemson Tiger has made strides this season but also a myriad mistakes. He’s throw six interceptions in 2022 and all of them have come at the worst possible time.

Now, the team’s brass won’t give up on Lawrence yet. Instead, they’ll work with him and keep putting him in a position to succeed, which will translate into growth as a player. Against the Raiders, the sophomore quarterback will bounce back from a game in which he had two costly interceptions and won’t throw a single one.

Lawrence’s development hasn’t been linear and he’ll take a step forward in Week 9 after taking one backward against Denver.
