Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence will be unfazed by Giants blitz, other predictions for Week 7
2. Travon Walker will register 2 sacks vs. the Giants in Week 7
Outside linebacker Travon Walker started his NFL career with a bang, registering one sack and one interception against the Washington Commanders in Week 1. The former Georgia Bulldog made it look easy even though he hardly ever rushed the passer from a two-point stance back in college.
But in the following weeks, Walker cooled down considerably. Don’t blame him for his lack of sacks since the opener though. Teams are paying extra attention to him and accounting for him on every play. Having said that, he’s growing comfortable at outside linebacker and head coach Doug Pederson expects him to get better moving forward.
Despite the fact that Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is tough to bring down, he’s already been sacked 19 times this season. Walker will add two to the stat sheet Sunday.
1. Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence will have another efficient game
Even though the Jaguars fell short in Week 6, they are most likely encouraged after watching Trevor Lawrence have the most efficient game of his young NFL career. The sophomore quarterback completed over 90 percent of his throws and scored three total touchdowns. Throughout the game, he made sound decisions and wasn’t reckless with the football.
Lawrence was coming off a rough two-week stretch in which he turn the ball over a staggering seven times, so it was reassuring to see him bounce back. He will gain momentum in Week 7 and have another efficient game. He won’t complete 90 percent of his passes but he will spread the ball around and once again throw three touchdowns with no interceptions. Moreover, he will help the Jags get back in the win column.
