The Jacksonville Jaguars lost to the Washington Commanders in the season opener but they can’t dwell too much into it, as they will welcome Matt Ryan and the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2. Even though Indy hasn’t won a game at TIAA Bank Field since 2014, the Jags can’t afford to take them lightly, or else run the risk of starting a losing skid.

Keep in mind that no AFC South won in Week 1, so beating the Colts would help the Jags get at the top or at least second place in the division. With that in mind, here are the odds, the spread, and a final score prediction for Sunday’s game.

Jaguars vs. Colts Odds Week 2

Per Betsided, the Jags are currently a 4.0 underdog with a moneyline of +166. Bet $100 on them and if they beat Indianapolis, you will win $166 for a total payout of $266.

On the other hand, the Colts’ moneyline is set at -199. To win $100, you must place a wager of $199 for a payout of $299 (if Indy wins).

Jaguars vs. Colts Prediction Week 2

The Colts have plenty of talent on both sides of the ball and their chances of winning in Week 2 might increase if linebacker Shaquille Leonard suits up. The All-Pro underwent back surgery in the offseason and practiced albeit on a limited basis the days preceding Week 1. But he was ultimately ruled out and his availability is in question for Sunday’s game.

The Jaguars moved the ball efficiently throughout most of the game against the Commanders but they stalled once they got to the red zone. They must find a way to score touchdowns if they want to keep in check an Indy team that logged more than 500 total yards on offense against the Houston Texans.

Both Jacksonville and the Colts struggled to stop opposing offenses from scoring in the season opener, and their Week 2 matchup could very well turn into a shootout. Having said that, the Jaguars should be able to fix the issues that ultimately cost them the game against Washington and beat Indy Sunday.

Final score: Jaguars 27 – Colts 23
