The Jacksonville Jaguars have done a good job of replenishing their roster over the last two seasons. Although it might ultimately not be enough to compete for a playoff berth in 2022, they should be more competitive and double their win totals from last season.

At an individual level, there are several Jaguars who have a good chance to shine this upcoming season. Second-year quarterback Trevor Lawrence is one of them, and here are five more who could end up becoming stars.

The Jaguars stroke out in the first round more often than not during the David Caldwell era and general manager Trent Baalke is trying to reserve the trend in his second season at the helm. Last year, he got Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne with the first and 25th overall picks, respectively. This year, he selected edge rusher Travon Walker at No. 1 and later jumped back into the first round to take Devin Lloyd with the 27th overall pick.

Walker might not have an immediate impact since he’s making the switch to outside linebacker. However, Lloyd should be able to contribute right off the bat. As a matter of fact, he made NFL Media’s preseason All-Pro Rookie team in 2022. The California native said back in minicamp that he hasn’t struggled to adjust to the pros and is feeling good, via Kole Emplit of News4JAX.

"I feel really good on the field, and my play speed has increased… I’m feeling comfortable, growing every day, and the first month has been great with the team."

Lloyd still hasn’t put the pads on but he might experience growing pains once he does in training camp. Having said that, it wouldn’t be shocking to see him have a seamless transition into the NFL and start on Day 1 next to Foyesade Oluokun.
