After finishing 3-14 last year, the Jacksonville Jaguars spent the last few months making upgrades to their roster. They weren’t able to address every need but the roster is in better shape ahead of the 2022 season.

The Jaguars didn’t have any of their players make Pete Prisco’s top 100 list but that doesn’t mean they’re devoid of talent in 2022. In fact, they have more than one playmaker in several position groups. With that in mind, here are the Jags’ top five pairings.

The Jaguars haven’t gotten much production from their tight end in recent years but that could change in 2022 after signing Evan Engram in free agency. The former Ole Miss Rebel will automatically step into the No. 1 role in Jacksonville. However, Dan Arnold will still be an important piece of the offense.

Arnold arrived in Jacksonville once the 2021 season had already started but he went on to have an impact right off the bat. Not long after joining the Jags, he became one of Trevor Lawrence’s favorite targets. From Weeks 5 to 9, the tight end hauled in 25 receptions for 286 yards. Unfortunately, he suffered an MCL injury in Week 11 and had to sit out the remainder of the season. On the bright side, he will have the benefit of spending training camp with Jags, something he didn’t do last year.

Engram showed flashes during his five-year tenure with the New York Giants but he also experienced drops and mental errors. The Jaguars’ brass expects him to put it all together in 2022 and form a solid 1-2 combo alongside Arnold.
