The 2021 Jacksonville Jaguars did not have many valuable fantasy football players. But the roster this year looks to be much improved and there are a few new offensive weapons that could produce big numbers.

Last year was an absolute mess for the Jags, as the team endured several injuries to key players on the offense. There were also challenges related to Urban Meyer’s leadership style and his coaching decisions.

Running back James Robinson was most likely to be the team’s biggest fantasy producer in 2021. However, his numbers were hindered by Meyer’s tendency to give his former college running back Carlos Hyde more time on the field even though Robinson was obviously the superior back. To make matters worse, he also suffered a late-season injury causing him to miss the final two games of the season and will most likely force him to sit out a few outings in the 2022 campaign.

Sophomore Travis Etienne returns from injury this year which also adds some question marks to how much production the team will see out of Robinson this year. If Etienne hits the ground running, Robinson’s role could be significantly reduced when he returns. Either way, neither player is a sure thing as far as fantasy value at their position.

Wide receiver Marvin Jones Jr. became the team’s top target catching 73 balls for 832 yards and four touchdowns after the injury to DJ Chark. Jones should still contribute significant production in the passing game but won’t be the number one option as he was in the 2021 season. Laviska Shenault Jr. could breakout this year under a new coaching staff but has struggled to get separation at few different spots on the field.

The Jaguars traded for Dan Arnold early in the season to improve the tight end group’s contributions to the passing game. He had some early drops but began to establish a rapport with quarterback Trevor Lawrence before suffering a season-ending injury in Week 12. Arnold finished the year with 28 passes for 324 yards in eight games with the Jags last year. The tight end’s production was encouraging but the team still went out and signed Evan Engram in free agency.

The 2022 roster features a few new playmakers that should contribute heavily to the team’s offense. The reshaped roster means that the top fantasy players on the Jaguars could be much different than they were last year. Without further ado, here are the top three options for this upcoming season.
