The Jacksonville Jaguars pulled no punches in free agency and spent big to upgrade their roster. In particular, their wide receiver corps got a boost with the signings of Christian Kirk and Zay Jones. Both of them will be a welcome addition to a group that was among the worst, if not the worst, in the league last year.

You could make a case that Jacksonville’s wide receiver room wasn’t as bad as it seemed when you take into account that DJ Chark Jr. and Jamal Agnew made plays early in the 2021 season. But once they went down, the offense struggled to move the ball and score points, and teams must be prepared for injuries. The Jags weren’t and it showed.

Depth should no longer be an issue for the Jaguars after re-signing Laquon Treadwell and the arrival of Jones and Kirk. On the other hand, the team’s brass could still add a wide receiver in the draft. While they probably use the first overall pick on an edge defender — Aidan Hutchinson or Travon Walker — they also hold picks No. 33, 65, and 70. They could easily spend one of them on a receiver.

But if the Jaguars aren’t particularly thrilled about this year’s class and rather trade for a proven commodity, they could certainly take that route. Parting ways with the first overall pick would be out of the question but they could trade some of their other 11 picks and/or a future first-round selection. It’s true that they have just $6 million in cap space but if they want to get a deal done, there are different ways they could get around the salary cap. Without further ado, here are three receivers the Jags could trade for:
