The Jacksonville Jaguars have been one of the most active clubs in the NFL throughout the legal tampering period and the official start of free agency,

getting mostly positive reviews

for all the additions they made.

Having said that, the Jags won’t be able to sustain that pace and won’t likely sign as many players in the following days. Then again, there are several players that once donned the Black and Teal that still haven’t found team yet. Could a reunion be in place? Here are four former Jaguars still available in the open market.

No. 1 former Jaguars player without a team – Keelan Cole, WR.

Most head coaches and coordinators want to bring their own guys to whatever project they undertake and move on from those that don’t ‘fit’ their vision. Wide receiver Keelan Cole was part of the latter group in Urban Meyer’s first and only year in Jacksonville.

An undrafted free agent out of Kentucky Wesleyan, Cole spent his first four NFL seasons with the Jaguars but left last year and signed with the New York Jets. He’s once again a free agent and is currently looking for a team.

Cole is a solid No. 3 wide receiver who can be a valuable depth piece for whatever team he plays for. In 2021, he appeared in 15 games with11 starts and hauled in 28 receptions for 449 yards with one touchdown. The Jaguars already added Christian Kirk and Zay Jones this offseason but Cole could bring in competition in training camp and even earn a starting role in 2022.
