No. 3 wide receiver the Jaguars can land – Allen Robinson.

And here we go. Allen Robinson is poised to be the top wide receiver available in this year’s free agency. Also, he’s a favorite to land in Jacksonville. Although trading for Amari Cooper might have been better, signing Allen Robinson wouldn’t be a consolation prize.

Robinson is coming off a down year in which he had COVID-19 and Darnell Mooney became the Chicago Bears’ No. 1 receiver. However, he could be in for a bounce-back campaign in 2022. After all, he was highly productive after signing a three-year contract in 2018, hauling in 293 receptions for 3,561 yards in his first three seasons with the Bears.

Sam Monson of Pro Football Focus believes there’s a good chance Robinson’s production will jump back if you pair him with a legitimate passer and the Jaguars happen to have one with plenty of potential in Trevor Lawrence, who should make a significant leap in Year 2. Jeremy Fowler of ESPN expects both Jacksonville and the New England Patriots to make a run for Robinson, so the Jaguars’ brass needs to be ready to give him a top-market contract if they want to outbid the Pats.

If the Jaguars manage to land Robinson in free agency and keep DJ Chark, they could have a top 15 receiver group this offseason. It wouldn’t be cheap but they will need to invest if they want to get Trevor Lawrence the best possible supporting cast this offseason.
