Jaguars mock draft: 6th round, 179th overall – Bubba Bolden, DB.

Bubba Bolden would be a nice addition to the Jaguars as a developmental free safety at this point in the draft. The benefit of having Bolden on your roster will be his versatility and ability to adapt to any scheme.

Back in 2020, Bolden was a semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award, which speaks to his potential. He’s tall and is athletically gifted with excellent downfield speed, being able to cover tight ends will serve him well with the Jaguars. While he isn’t the sharpest tackler in the open field, that can be corrected with the proper guidance.

Jaguars mock draft: 6th round, 188th overall – Justin Shaffer, OL.

The Georgia offensive lineman will help in adding quality depth to the Jaguars’ offensive line. Due to his size, he is strictly a guard. His biggest contribution will be in the run game. In fact, PFF grades him at 76.8 in the run blocking department. He’s not the most athletically gifted prospect, but he does have noticeable raw strength that will allow him to do well with incoming defensive tackles. Again, he’ll be limited when he comes into the NFL, but he’ll do well with the right offensive line coach.

Jaguars mock draft: 6th round, 196th overall – Daniel Bellinger, TE.

Even though tight end won’t be too high on the Jaguars’ big board this April, you can’t go wrong with Daniel Bellinger. For someone that would go in the sixth round, Bellinger possesses solid speed, quickness, and mobility, especially in terms of run blocking. He won’t be the next Travis Kelce, but he’ll be of great use in plays with multiple tight ends, and in his defense, he has good hands and can take a hit. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him make occasional contributions in the passing game.
