No. 3 Jaguars D-Line target in 2022 – Otito Ogbonnia, UCLA.

Ogbonnia really blossomed the last two years for the UCLA Bruins. He amassed three and a half sacks during that run, in addition to six and a half tackles for a loss. Ogbonnia also displayed some exceptional hands, totaling four pass deflections and a forced fumble during those two seasons.

While the former Bruin is the least heralded of the three prospects on this list, he posted a solid 78.3 pass-rush grade, per PFF. Standing at an imposing six-foot-three and a half while weighing 326 pounds, Ogbonnia was a handful for offensive linemen at the collegiate level and could become a solid player at the NFL level down the road.

He possesses good upper body strength and has a decent first step off the line but will require a lot of refining once in the NFL, though his run defense can be of use right away. He’ll be a back-end rotational player for the Jaguars out of the gate, but he does have upside. Once he gets better at picking up offensive schemes and improves his play recognition, Ogbonnia will be able to use his nice first step, but for now, a fifth-round choice could be worth it as a long-term investment.
