Nobody would have guessed that the Jacksonville Jaguars would enter the month of February without a head coach. But that’s how things have played out so far. To make matters worse, it doesn’t look like the process is close to an end and many of the candidates they targeted early in the process have gone on to accept jobs with other teams.

Nathaniel Hackett became the head coach of the Denver Broncos while Matt Eberflus landed with the Chicago Bears. Moreover, Kevin O’Connell will tentatively join the Minnesota Vikings after the Super Bowl, so it’s fair to say that the Jaguars are running out of options for their vacancy. One darkhorse candidate to keep an eye on in the upcoming days is former Las Vegas Raiders head coach Rich Bisaccia.

Not long ago, news that the Jags had interviewed Bisaccia surfaced based on how their head coaching search has unfolded, nobody would bat an eye if he gets the job. Just to make things clear, Bisaccia is a fine candidate. He helped the Silver and Black stay afloat and get to the playoffs after Jon Gruden resigned and wide receiver Henry Ruggs III got involved in a car crash. What was puzzling is that the Jaguars decided to met with him one month after they had started the search.

Either Doug Pederson or Byron Leftwich might have a better chance of becoming the Jaguars’ next head coach but if Bisaccia ends up getting the job, these four Raiders free agents could follow him to Jacksonville.
