Jaguars Game Sunday: Jaguars vs Jets odds and prediction for Week 16
The Jacksonville Jaguars lost a winnable game against the Houston Texans in Week 15. However, they can’t dwell on it much. After all, there are still three games left in the 2021 NFL season and they can’t simply skip them and show up until next year. They must regroup and get ready to take on the 3-12 New York Jets in Week 16.
The Jaguars have lost six games in a row while New York is coming off a gut-wrenching loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 15. Here are the odds and a final score prediction for the game.

Jaguars vs. Jets Final Score Prediction.
The Jaguars are making it considerably difficult to root for them. They had a favorable situation in Week 15 but couldn’t take advantage of it. They were favored by five points to win, they were playing at home and more importantly, they were facing off against a Houston Texans team that has been shut down twice this season. You could make the case that if Jacksonville couldn’t beat the lowly Texans, they stand no chance against the rest of the NFL. Harsh? Maybe. Accurate? You bet.
Former Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer always talked about how close they were and how the locker room was great but that hasn’t translated into wins. Although moving on from Meyer was necessary, many of the problems that have hindered the team throughout the season remain. They have a hard time moving the ball and have struggled to stop the run.
Maybe the Jags finish the season strong note. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence certainly believes is doable but based on their performance over the last six weeks, it’s difficult to root for them, especially when they’re playing a road game at MetLife Stadium. Also, winning would hurt their chances of clinching the top overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Although the Jags aren’t actively trying to lose, they may be better off not winning another game for the remainder of the season in order to secure the top selection.
The Jags’ defense has played well and more often than not, it has given them a chance to win. If they can have a performance like the one they had against the Buffalo Bills and the offense can move the ball efficiently, they could pull off the upset. Nevertheless, it’s hard to envision them beating the Jets in Week 16. Call this writer skeptic but the Jags have shown they have a long way to go before they can compete week in and week out.
Final Score: Jaguars 10 – Jets 21
