Jaguars’ 1st third-round pick in 2022 – Zion Johnson, offensive line

The Jaguars may not draft a left tackle in 2022 but they can still revamp their interior offensive line. Left tackle Andrew Norwell, right guard A.J. can and top interior backup Tyler Shatley are all set to become free agents, and may not be feasible to bring all of them back. Instead, they can sign one of the top guards and in free agency and take another one in the draft.

Zion Johnson of Boston College is someone the Jaguars should keep an eye on. They will have the chance to see him perform in the 2022 Reese’s Senior Bowl, as he’s accepted an invite to partake in the event.

Jaguars’ 2nd third-round pick in 2022 – Storm Duck, cornerback

The Jaguars made several changes to their secondary this year. They let D.J. Hayden walk in free agency and later dealt cornerback Sidney Jones to the Seattle Seahawks before the start of the season. They later traded C.J. Henderson, the ninth overall pick in last year’s draft, to the Carolina Panthers. On the other hand, they signed Shaquill Griffin in free agency and drafted Tyson Campbell 33rd overall this past selection meeting.

Both Shaquill Griffin and Campbell are the starters but the former is dealing with a concussion and has exposed the lack of depth at the position. The Jaguars need to add reinforcements next offseason. Coincidentally, they will use the pick they got from the Henderson trade to draft a cornerback.

After showing promise in his freshman year, Storm Duck has dealt with injuries over the last two seasons. Duck has all the athletic tools to compete at the NFL level and if he manages to stay healthy he can turn into a solid starter.
