The San Francisco 49ers had logged just three wins this season heading into Week 10 and nobody would have batted an eye if they had lost to the Los Angeles Rams. But then, something happened. The Niners pulled off the upset and come out of the game with their fourth victory of the 2021 season. In Week 11, the Jacksonville Jaguars will welcome them at TIAA Bank Field.

The Jags are coming off a heartbreaking loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Although they were trailing 17-0 early in the game, they managed to get within striking distance and nearly pull off the upset. However, their comeback attempt fell short and ultimately lost 23-17.

The Jags are looking to bounce back against a Niners’ team that has won two of its last three games. Here are three keys to victory in Week 11.

1. The Jaguars must do better in third-down efficiency against the 49ers.

Despite the fact that the Jaguars’ defense registered just one sack or a turnover against the Colts, they constantly pressured quarterback Carson Wentz. They also made several key stops and often granted the offense several opportunities to score. However, Jacksonville had trouble moving the ball and went 5-of-15 on third downs. Had they converted a few more of those opportunities, the outcome of the game might have been different.

The Jags currently rank in the cellar of the NFL with a third-down conversion percentage of 30.3. They don’t have to be flawless against the 4ers, they just have to be a bit more efficient.
