The Jacksonville Jaguars had a hard time keeping up with the Seattle Seahawks in Week 8. Things won’t get any easier when they welcome the Buffalo Bills at TIAA Bank Field in Week 9.

Even if the Jaguars can bounce back and execute better than they did in Week 8, the Bills head into the game with both the best offense and defense in the NFL. To add insult to injury, running back James Robinson may not suit up and was listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report.

Still, the Jags should play better than they did against the Seahawks. Although players such as linebacker Myles Jack and edge rusher Josh Allen said they were disappointed about the loss to the Seahawks, they showed resolve to turn things around.

Now, beating Buffalo would be a daunting task, even at home. However, the Jaguars should be able to keep things competitive even if they ultimately lost their second straight game. With that in mind, here are five bold predictions for Week 9.

1. The Jacksonville Jaguars will score a season-high 27 points.

The Jaguars have failed to score 20 points four times in 2021, with a season-low seven in Week 8. Drops, off-target passes, and miscommunication played a role in the team’s offensive ineptitude against Seattle but Jacksonville will get back on track in Week 9. Not only that, they will score 27 points.

Trevor Lawrence had arguably his worst game of the season against the Seahawks but has shown promise all year long. He should have no trouble getting the ball to tight end Dan Arnold and wide receivers Jamal Agnew and Marvin Jones Jr. Also, Carlos Hyde will do a good job of generating yards and the offense won’t become one-dimensional, taking some pressure off the rookie passer’s shoulders.
