The Jacksonville Jaguars won their first game of the 2021 season against the Miami Dolphins in Week 6. The Jags will be looking to earn their second victory of the year when they take on the Seattle Seahawks in Week 8.

The Jaguars are coming off their BYE and are a 4-point underdog ahead of the game. Although they will be playing at Lumen Field, famous for its loud environment, they should have a realistic shot at pulling the upset.

NFL analyst Daniel Jeremiah believes the Jaguars are the more talented team right now, and he’s right. The Hawks do have several playmakers on both sides of the ball but the absence of Russell Wilson is noticeable. Geno Smith will be starting at quarterback in his place and there’s a significant dropoff from one to the other. This is something the Jaguars’ defense must take advantage of. Here are the top player props for the game, via WynnBET.

Jaguars vs. Seahawks: Top 3 player props for the game.

1. Jacksonville Jaguars Total Points – 20.5 (+100).

This is an interesting one. It’s on a player prop but still worth putting a wager on. The Jaguars have scored 21 points or more three times this season, two of them in their last three games. The offense has gotten better and Jacksonville will face off against a Seahawks team that is allowing an average of 23 points per game.

Sure, Seattle limited the New Orleans Saints to 13 points in Week 7 but looks like the exception and not the norm, as they gave up at least 21 or more in the five games prior.

2. James Robinson, total rushing yards – Over 73.5 (-125).

Second-year running back James Robinson is playing at a high level in 2021, making the most out of his carries. He’s toted the rock 84 times for 460 yards and five touchdowns while averaging a superb 5.5 yards per carry. The former Redbird has gotten 15 carries or more in the last four games. He racked up 73 yards in Week 6 but had 149 yards in Week 5 and 89 the one before.

As long as Robinson gets around 17 or 18 carries, he should have no trouble going over 74 yards against the Seahawks in Week 8.

3. Marvin Jones, total reception yards – Over  55.5 (-125).

The Jaguars hit on several free agents this offseason. It’s difficult to choose just one because many of them become key contributors. In particular, Marvin Jones Jr. has become the team’s number one receiver in the absence of DJ Chark Jr., who fractured his ankle in Week 7.

But even before Chark’s injury, Jones had become a favorite of quarterback Trevor Lawrence. The former Detroit Lions wide receiver caught seven receptions for 100 yards with a touchdown against the Dolphins in Week 6. He’s gone over three times this season.

You could argue that this prop is a flip coin but the Jaguars’ offense has gotten better each week and should have ample opportunities against a Seattle’s defense that ranks 27th in passing yards allowed.
