The Jacksonville Jaguars are looking for the first victory of the 2021 regular season on Thursday Night Football. It’s too early in the game to tell if they will pull the upset but they were the first team to put points on the board and are currently leading 7-0, thanks to second-year running back James Robinson.

The former Illinois State Redbird scored in the Jags’ second drive of the game. It’s clear the coaching staff wants to get the sophomore running back involved. He got seven carries for 35 yards in the first two drives. His workload has progressively increased this season. In the first two games, he got a combined 16 carries. However, that changed in Week 3, when he toted the rock 15 times for 86 yards and one trip to the end zone.

Robinson isn’t the only Jags player to run the ball on Thursday Night Football. Wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. had one carry for 11 yards and AFC Special Team Player of the Month Jamal Agnew also had a carry for 11 yards. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence also showed some wheels and had an 11-yard run. It’s clear Jacksonville is committed want to pound the ball.

In case you missed it or want to play it in a loop. Here’s Robinson’s rushing touchdown, which is his second of the year.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are off to a good start on Thursday Night Football.

Quarterback Joe Burrow completed six of seven passes in Cincy’s first drive of the game. But their offense stalled. The Bengals had to settle for a field goal, which kicker Evan McPherson failed.

Both the Jaguars and the Bengals got the ball after Robinson’s touchdown but neither team scored. Also, the Jags have done a good job of containing running back Joe Mixon, which is a key to winning the game.

On a side note, Jaguars wide receiver DJ Chark Jr. was carted off the field and was listed as questionable to return. At this point, it’s unlikely he will come back.
