After dropping their first game of the 2021 season, the Jacksonville Jaguars are ready to turn the page and welcome the Denver Broncos at TIAA Bank Field in Week 2.

The Jaguars will need to fix their defense and get their running game going if they want to win their first game of the 2021 season and avoid starting the season on a losing streak. Here are the odds and predictions for the Jags’ first home game of the year.

Jaguars vs Broncos Odds Week 2

Not surprisingly, the Jags are a 6.0 point underdog ahead of their Week 2 matchup, according to WynnBET. The spread is set at -110. This means that you will make $100 for every $110 you bet. For that to happen the Broncos have to beat Jacksonville by more than six points.

Wynn BET has set the over/under at 44.0 points, and both the over and under are -110.

Jaguars vs Broncos Prediction Week 2

Despite the fact that the Jags made several upgrades to their defense in the offseason, they still allowed 34 points in Week 1. Meanwhile, the Broncos beat the New York Giants in a dominant fashion. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater went 28-of-36 for 264 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. Also, Denver’s running game was highly efficient, racking up 165 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries.

Jacksonville’s defense allowed almost 300 passing yards and 160 rushing yards. Also, the Jags’ last touchdown came when the game was already out of reach, so the matchup was even more lopsided than the final score suggests. Now, the first game of the season isn’t an indicator of success the rest of the year. Last season, the Jaguars beat the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1 only to lose their next 15 games.

The Jaguars should come back from their Week 1 loss and beat the Broncos 24-21 at TIAA Balk Field. Head coach Urban Meyer and the coaching staff will take a look at everything that went wrong against the Texans and right the ship in Week 2.
