1) The Jacksonville Jaguars trade CJ Henderson and a 4th-round draft pick.

Mike Silver said it will probably take a first-round selection (and a new contract) to get a deal done. The Jaguars still have around $32 million in cap space, per Over the Cap, so they should have no trouble complying with Xavien Howard’s salary demands.

On the other hand, the Jags may be hesitant to part ways with their 2022 first-round pick. They are in the early stages of a rebuild and their early-round selections in next year’s draft will come in handy. Thus, they may offer alternative packages in exchange for the 2020 All-Pro nod.

If Howard landed in Jacksonville, the Jags would need to make space for him, and sending sophomore C.J. Henderson and a fourth-round selection to Miami would make sense. The former regime drafted the Florida product last season and showed promise early on. In fact, he was a starter since Day 1.

Henderson had a couple of bad games in 2020 but he also allowed 50 yards in three. Moreover, he was finding his stride before a groin injury ended his rookie campaign early. The former Gator underwent labrum surgery this offseason but hasn’t had any setbacks and should pick up where he left off in 2020. Nevertheless, Howard would be a massive upgrade at cornerback.

While Henderson has plenty of upside, Howard already showed what he’s capable of doing and he could form, along with Shaquill Griffin, one of the best cornerback tandems in the league.
