Walker Little – Jacksonville Jaguars offensive tackle

Biggest obstacles: Rust, depth chart position

The Jaguars could have drafted an offensive tackle with the 25th overall pick in this year’s draft. Instead, they waited until the second round to land Walker Little. The Stanford product suffered a knee injury in 2019 and opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19 concerns. The last time he played was back when the Cardinals took on Northwestern in August 2019.

On the bright side, Little says he’s 100 percent ready and offensive line coach George Warhop said the Texas native came as or more prepared than other first- and second-round picks he’s mentored. Moreover, he praised his agility and ability to bend. Little will most likely start the season as the backup left tackle but if Cam Robinson struggles, he could take his place in the offensive line.

Tyson Campbell – Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback

Biggest obstacle: Depth chart, lack of big plays

Tyson Campbell was one of the top cornerback prospects in this year’s draft. The Georgia product has outstanding speed and acceleration. On the other hand, he had just one interception during his college career and opposing teams weren’t afraid to throw at him. Although Campbell needs to play with more discipline, he has the physical tools to become a starting cornerback in the NFL.

Also, it was kind of surprising to see the Jags use the 33rd overall pick in the former Bulldog. After all, they signed Shaquill Griffin in free agency and re-signed Sidney Jones and Tre Herndon. Griffin will most likely start opposite sophomore C.J. Henderson and Herndon will probably handle slot duties. It may be a while before Campbell sees the field. On the bright side, cornerback looks like a potential strength for Jacksonville in 2021.
