The Jacksonville Jaguars have spent the offseason making much-needed upgrades to their roster. The most important one was arguably the addition of quarterback Trevor Lawrence, the top pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. However, that wasn’t the only significant acquisition the organization made.

The Jags also bolstered their secondary by signing cornerback Shaquill Griffin and safety Rayshawn Jenkins in free agency. Also, they rounded out their wide receiver corps with Marvin Jones Jr. After all the moves this Jacksonville team has made in the last few months, it wasn’t surprising to see it get named the AFC South’s biggest offseason winners.

On the other hand, the Jaguars haven’t played a game yet, so it’s hard to tell how much they have really improved. After all, they weren’t the only team in the division to add players this offseason. The Tennessee Titans and the Indianapolis Colts finished with a winning record last year. Instead of giving their rosters a complete makeover, they made key acquisitions and fortified certain position groups on their respective rosters.

On the other hand, the Houston Texans didn’t make many meaningful moves because they didn’t have picks in the first two rounds of this year’s selection meeting. Also, they were hindered by salary-cap restraints and looked weakened heading into the 2021 NFL season. Nevertheless, the Jaguars can’t take them lightly, or else they run the risk of losing a winnable matchup.

In the meantime, here are three new players in the AFC South that could spell trouble for the Jaguars in 2021.
