Round 1 (continued): Picks 13-17

No. 13 – Los Angeles Chargers: Alijah Vera-Tucker, OT, USC

Like the Cincinnati Bengals, the Los Angeles Chargers got their franchise quarterback, Justin Herbert, in last year’s draft. Just like the Cincy, the Bolts get a tackle who can protect their sophomore signal-caller.

No. 14 – Minnesota Vikings: Wyatt Davis, G, Ohio State

Minnesota is another team with several needs, but they addressed their most pressing ones in free agency. Davis fills a need they didn’t get in free agency.

No. 15 – New England Patriots: Kwity Paye, DE, Michigan

The Patriots addressed all of their most pressing needs in free agency, and they added depth at multiple positions. The one position they didn’t address was an EDGE rusher, so they do so now and Paye gets the nod.

No. 16 – Arizona Cardinals – Najee Harris, RB, Alabama

The Cardinals have a couple of needs on both offense and defense. They signed J.J. Watt in free agency so defensive end isn’t a great need, but they may want to add another pass rusher here. The top cornerbacks are gone and the other need positions may be a bit of a reach at this spot. Maybe they try to trade down a few spots. If not, Najee Harris can fill a need on offense.

No. 17 – Las Vegas Raiders – Samuel Cosmi, OT, Texas

The Raiders address one of their biggest needs at one of the most important positions on an NFL team. Protecting the quarterback is paramount and Las Vegas gets the right guy for the job.
