This has been a busy offseason for the Jacksonville Jaguars and the rest of the NFL. Since the start of the free agency period, the Miami Dolphins have made two trades, the San Francisco 49ers moved up nine spots, the Philadelphia Eagles dropped six spots, and the Carolina Panthers give up three picks in a trade with the New York Jets for quarterback Sam Darnold.

After all these trades, the 2021 NFL Draft has gotten a lot more interesting. Although it is still early in the league year, most NFL teams have signed a few free agents to fill their needs and those moves will affect who gets selected in this mock draft.

Since the draft is around the corner, this second mock draft edition will expand to the first three rounds. With the trades that have three teams changing draft positions, there will be changes in who gets drafted where. However, there is not a change in the first two players selected.

The Jacksonville Jaguars know who will they take first overall.

No. 1 –  Jacksonville Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson

In an interview with Peter King of Football Morning in America, Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer said “I’d have to say that’s the direction we’re going” when asked about selecting Trevor Lawrence with the first overall pick. So we can all quit speculating – the Jags get their franchise quarterback.

No. 2 – New York Jets: Zach Wilson, QB, BYU

Zach Wilson lit it up at his pro day. Of course, so did Sam Darnold three years ago. The Jets are hoping the BYU product will have the intangibles to perform better than Darnold.
