Jacksonville Jaguars draft: 3 best options in round 3
The 2021 NFL Draft is around the corner, and the Jacksonville Jaguars, just like every other team, are getting ready for it. They already started making changes in the offseason, signing a few playmakers and adding depth to a roster that didn’t have much last season and while it may sound cliche at first, this is going to be one of the most important drafts in team history.
The Jags hold ten draft picks in 2020, including the first overall. If they nail most of them, they could quickly turn the corner and speed up the rebuilding effort head coach Urban Meyer is overseeing. Trevor Lawrence, whom they are projected to take with the top pick, should provide stability to a quarterback position for an extended period of time.
However, it will be equally important for the team’s brass to hit on their other first-round pick, the 25th overall, their two second-round picks, numbers 33 and 45, and their lone third-round pick. On the bright side, there are different routes the Jaguars can take in the draft, as they addressed most of their needs in free agency.
In no particular order, the Jaguars need to add another pass-rusher, a wide receiver, an offensive tackle, a tight end, and safety early in the draft. Whatever position they don’t address in the first two rounds, they will have to address them in the third round. Also, they could add depth and target prospects that slide to the third round. Here are the best three picks they could target at 65.
