Last year, the Jacksonville Jaguars opted not to be active in free agency. However, they have taken a different approach in 2021 and have done a good job of retooling their roster this offseason. They have added depth to most position groups, brought back a handful of key contributors, and even signed a few difference-makers in free agency.

Moreover, the Jags gave their coaching staff a makeover and hired Urban Meyer as their head coach. After all the changes they made in the offseason, this Jacksonville team looks better than it did in the 2020 season, when they were able to win just one game. Nevertheless, the work isn’t done yet and for the Jags to turn things around, they will need to keep adding talent in the 2021 NFL Draft. Also, they will need a few of the players that were on the roster last season to step up and perform better than they did in 2020.

After all, many of the players that partook in the team’s 1-15 record last season are back in 2021. Some of them underperformed because of injuries or inexperience while others simply had a down year. Regardless of the reason, the Jaguars will need these five players to play at a high level for them to have a chance to win more games.
