This year’s free agency period will feature plenty of interesting choices. However, the final list of players available may change in the following days, as teams are re-signing their own players and releasing others to get under the cap. Regardless of who is available in the open market, the Jacksonville Jaguars should be a top free-agent destination and will be able to target anybody they want due to the amount of cap space they will have at their disposal.

Meanwhile, the New Orleans Saints will be forced to release a few key contributors to get out of the red. They are currently $69 million over the cap and will have to move on from players that are still solid but may not fit their budget in 2021. This is not a one-time thing though, as they are seemingly in the same predicament year in year out.

Coming off a playoff loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Saints will probably look very different in 2021 even in the off chance quarterback Drew Brees decides to keep playing, which is unlikely at this point, as New Orleans plans to place him on the Reserve/Retire list, per Ian Rapoport. In the meantime, here are three Saints players the Jaguars should consider targeting if they become available in free agency.
