The Tampa Bay Buccaneers showed in Super Bowl 55 the importance of having a high-powered offense and a defense that can stop opposing teams from scoring at crucial times. The Jacksonville Jaguars should follow their blueprint if they want to compete week in and week out and for that to happen, they will need to add a few playmakers to both sides of the ball this offseason.

While the ‘Jags’ should be able to make a couple of impact signings in free agency, they will also have 11 selections in 2021’s draft. Even though it’s unrealistic to expect them to take a Pro Bowl player with every single pick, they could significantly upgrade their roster if they hit on most of them.

The Jaguars’ brass knows they need to have a franchise quarterback if they want to have long-term success. They will likely draft one with the first-overall selection but they also need to bolster other positions such as left tackle, defensive end, cornerback, and safety.

This Jacksonville team will be able to address some of those needs in the open market but the draft should be their principal means to add foundational players. In this mock draft, they take a few but only from the Athletic Coastal Conference (ACC).
