The Jacksonville Jaguars need to give their roster a makeover this offseason. Every single position group on their roster would welcome a few playmakers or depth and they are in a prime position to acquire plenty of talent in both free agency and the 2021 NFL Draft. On the other hand, if they want, they could also add a few difference-makers via trade, and acquiring someone like Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. through this means is worth considering.

The Jaguars hold 11 draft selections. Even if they use the first overall pick to take Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence as they are expected, they would still have enough draft choices to address other needs.

The downside of adding players in the selection meeting is that the draft is a crapshoot. Teams miss on prospects all the time even though they spend considerable time in their scouting process. Thus, it’s better to add an established veteran in certain instances.

The Jaguars need to upgrade their left tackle position and could pursue Trent Williams in free agency. Although signing the 2010 fourth overall pick wouldn’t come cheap, he is arguably the best left tackle in the NFL and would give Jacksonville’s offensive line a boost right out of the gate.

However, signing Williams won’t be the only option the ‘Jags’ will have this offseason to bolster the left tackle position, as they have enough resources to pull a trade for Brown.
