Most people will agree that everything looks better in black. However, the Jacksonville Jaguars have revealed that they will go back to their original color scheme and will be wearing black and teal jerseys.

Not long ago, the Jaguars’ Twitter account started to post pictures of players such as running back James Robinson, kicker Josh Lambo, wide receiver DJ Chark Jr., defensive end Josh Allen, wide receiver Collin Johnson, and the team mascot, Jaxson de Ville.

All tweets had phrases such as ‘elevate’ and ‘stay hungry’ and without context, they didn’t make much sense. Nevertheless, all the posts were related and paved the way for the message, ‘Teal is Primary’. The Jaguars’ Twitter account later confirmed the message and said that they would make it happen if they got 21,000 retweets. They had no trouble surpassing the mark.

Some letters were missing, but the message was clear, the Jaguars are making teal their primary color once again. They had moved away from their original color scheme and started wearing black jerseys in recent years. So far, the decision has generated a positive reaction on social media.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are making the change at the right time.

The Jaguars are coming off arguably the worst season in franchise history. Although they were competitive at times, they lost 15 straight games and ranked near the bottom of most offensive and defensive categories. They knew drastic changes were needed and hired Urban Meyer as their head coach to lead the makeover.

The fact the ‘Jags’ decided to make teal their primary color is the cherry on top of what looks to be a promising year. They are in a prime position to take Clemson quaterback Trevor Lawrence with the first overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and will have ten more selections at their disposal. Moreover, they will have an abundant amount of cap space to sign a few playmakers in free agency.
