The Jacksonville Jaguars have a new head coach in Urban Meyer and although the team seems poised to turn things around, things may get tough down the road. If the ‘Jags’ struggled early in 2021, they should look at how the 2020 season unfolded for the New York Giants.

The ‘G-Men’ showed in 2020 that good coaching matters. After losing five games to start the year, they went on to win six of their next 11. At one point, they were the worst team in the NFL and it seemed like they could’ve gone winless. However, first-year head coach Joe Judge never flinched and his team rally behind him.

The Giants were hindered by the inconsistent play of quarterback Daniel Jones, who went through a sophomore slump after finishing the 2020 season on a high note. If the Duke product can improve in the upcoming season, New York could end up becoming a dark horse for the playoffs.

On the other hand, the Giants currently have $1.126 million in cap space and may have a hard time re-signing some of their pending free agents, which could make it difficult for them to build momentum. The ‘Jags’ should keep an eye on New York’s cap situation and target these three players if they hit the open market.
