The Jacksonville Jaguars parted ways with Doug Marrone after the 2020 season and have a new head coach in Urban Meyer. They also hired Trent Baalke as their general manager and are in the process of rebuilding the team.

The ‘Jags’ aren’t the only team that moved on from their previous head coach this offseason though. The Los Angeles Chargers gave Anthony Lynn the pink slip and brought Brandon Staley, who oversaw the Los Angeles Rams defense the last two years.

Just like the Jaguars, the ‘Bolts’ suffered a myriad of injuries that stopped them from fulfilling their potential in 2020 and amassed a 7-9 record, which includes a 39-29 win over Jacksonville in Week 7. On the other hand, the Chargers don’t have as much cap space as this Jacksonville team. Although $19.67 million is better than nothing, the amount won’t allow Los Angeles to be active in free agency the way the ‘Jags’ will.

On the bright side, Chargers’ core players, such as quarterback Justin Herbert, wide receivers Mike Williams and Keenan Allen, and defensive end Joey Bosa are still under contract, so they may withstand some free-losses this offseason. Here are three of their players the Jaguars should target this offseason.
