The Jacksonville Jaguars are trending up in the AFC South.

The Jacksonville Jaguars had the worst record in the AFC South and the NFL in 2020. Although they beat the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1, they weren’t able to win any more games for the remainder of this season and finished the year with a 1-15 record. However, they may not be the worst team in the division anymore. That honor should be reserved for the Houston Texans.

Keep in mind the Texans weren’t that good to begin with, as former head coach/general manager Bill 0’Brien left the team in a not-so-good shape and got the boot after losing four consecutive games to begin the 2020 season.

Things didn’t get much better after Houston moved on from O’Brien though. In fact, you could make the case things are now worse due to the fact quarterback Deshaun Watson’s anger level is at 10, they lack first and second-round picks in the 2021 NFL Draft and are currently $17 million over the cap, per Over the Cap.

That last part may benefit the Jaguars, as the Texans will have a hard time keeping their own free agents due to their cap issues and may even have to cut some players. This Jacksonville team could weaken their division rival by poking some of Houston’s players that are about to hit the open market. Here are three of them the ‘Jags’ should target.
