These are the two best tight ends the Jacksonville Jaguars can target.

1. Hunter Henry, Los Angeles Chargers

The Jaguars are projected to have $77.61 million on cap space, and they will have to opportunity to target pretty much any free agent they please this offseason. If they want to sign a tight end, Hunter Henry will be one of the best to hit the open market in 2021. Even though his numbers aren’t earth-shattering, he has logged at least 600 receiving yards and four touchdowns in the last two seasons.

Keep in mind Henry has been the third receiving option in a Los Angeles Chargers’ offense that features wide receivers Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, but could have a more prominent role in another team. Although he missed all of 2018 with a torn ACL and has missed six games in the last two years. He has the physical tools and the talent to reach the top echelon of tight ends.

2. Kyle Pitts, Florida Gators

Florida’s Kyle Pitts is the best tight end prospect in this year’s draft. As a junior, he hauled in 43 receptions for 770 yards and 12 touchdowns and won the 2020 John Mackey Award, which is given annually to the most outstanding tight end in college football.

Pitts will likely be a top 15 draft pick in 2021’s draft. While using the first overall pick on him is out of the question, the Jaguars hold the 21st overall selection and they could try to trade up and target the former Gators tight end.
