The Jacksonville Jaguars also need to start developing players.

The Jaguars currently have 11 draft selections. Although that number of picks looks like a lot, they have plenty of roster needs and they might not be enough to address all their needs. Their offensive line may not require as much attention as other units, but the unit also needs upgrades.

Cade Mays has played both offensive tackle and guard and should be available in the fifth round. It’s unclear what they will do with left tackle Cam Robinson, who is set to become a free agent, but it wouldn’t be a bad idea to add depth to the group and Mays’ flexibility could be what they need.

. . Damar Hamlin, safety. 5. player. 866.

This Jacksonville team has an extra fifth-round selection after trading safety Ronnie Harrison to the Cleveland Browns earlier this year. Rookie Daniel Thomas showed promise before being placed on the Injured Reserve list and Jarrod Wilson will likely start at one spot in 2021, but the team should invest a pick in Damar Hamlin, who is solid against both the run and the pass.

The Pittsburgh safety could decide not to enter next year’s draft and return for his senior year, but if he declares, he’s a prospect worth monitoring in the offseason.
