The Jacksonville Jaguars may need a new head coach soon.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off their 13th loss of the 2020 season. Although they had been competitive as recently as a couple of weeks ago, they have been steamrolled by the Tennessee Titans and the Baltimore Ravens in consecutive games.

There are many reasons for the Jaguars’ woes this year, such as injuries and inconsistency from the quarterback position. Nevertheless, head coach Doug Marrone has to be held accountable and bear some, if not most, of the responsibility for the team’s inability to win football games in 2002.

It’s true former general manager David Caldwell failed to replenish the roster in the offseason and the fact the defense is without pretty much half of their starters on defense doesn’t help matters either. However, the bottom line is that Marrone hasn’t won enough games this season, and has only had one winning season in his five-year tenure in Jacksonville.

Even though Marrone has been told his job is safe for the remainder of the season, his status beyond 2020 is uncertain. The ‘Jags’ could opt to part ways with him in the offseason, and target Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, who is getting plenty of consideration as a head coach candidate.
