The Jacksonville Jaguars’ defense will have a tough matchup in Week 14.

The Jacksonville Jaguars‘ defense raised a few eyebrows in Week 13 when they registered a season-high four sacks, one interception, and one forced fumble. That was arguably their best defensive performance of the year and if they want to beat the Tennessee Titans in Week 14, they will have to have a similar performance.

It won’t be easy though, as the Titans have one of the best offenses in the league thanks to the work of offensive coordinator Arthur Smith. Tennessee is currently fourth in total yards and third in points scored. They have reached the 30-point mark seven times this season and they have scored 40 points in three different games.

The Titans’ ability to throw and run the ball could give the Jaguars fits, as their defense ranks dead last in yards allowed and 29th in points. It’s true the unit has played better in recent weeks and has allowed 27 points or less the last four weeks after giving up at least 30 for six consecutive games.

However, injuries have taken a toll on the Jaguars’ defense, and hard as they have played, their lack of playmakers is noticeable. If they want to beat the Titans in Week 14, they will have to find a way to slow down these four offensive players.
