The Jacksonville Jaguars add reinforcements on defense in the second round.

Rookie safety Daniel Thomas displayed flashes of talent this season and started two games before he was placed on the Injured Reserve List with an arm injury. On the other hand, Jarrod Wilson has been solid in one safety, but the team could use an upgrade at the position.

Jevon Holland is the type of player this Jacksonville team needs in their secondary, one that is an asset in the running game and whose flexibility allows him to play different positions in the back end. In 27 games with the Ducks, the British Columbia native registered 71 solo tackles, 37 assists, nine interceptions, and 10 pass deflections.

Rookie defensive end K’Lavon Chaisson had a season-high five pressures against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 13 and Dawuane Smoot has shined in recent weeks. Nevertheless, the Jaguars defense ranks near the bottom in the league in sacks with 15 and has had a hard time pressuring opposing quarterbacks.

This Jacksonville team needs reinforcements in their defensive line and they can use the second-round pick they got when they traded Yannick Ngakoue on Jayson Oweh of Penn State. The defensive end has registered seven sacks and two forced fumbles in the last 18 games.
