The Jacksonville Jaguars had many chances to win this one but fell short.

This may be an overreaction but the Jacksonville Jaguars might’ve played their best game of the season when they took on the Minnesota Vikings in Week 13. Sure, they made mistakes on offense and defense and ultimately lost the game, but they hadn’t been as fun to watch in prior weeks.

Against the ‘Vikes’, the ‘Jags’ were able to move the ball at ease and played complementary defense early in the contest. Minnesota wasn’t able to score until the second quarter and this Jacksonville team held the lead at different points of the game.

However, things started to snowball and the Jaguars couldn’t stop turning the ball over. Veteran quarterback Mike Glennon played solidly for the second consecutive week, but he lost a fumble and threw two interceptions. Moreover, he took a sack for a safety and wide receiver Chris Conley fumbled another ball.

Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins knew the Jaguars’ secondary has been hampered by injuries and tested the unit early and often. Although he didn’t have much success early in the game, Jacksonville’s defense wasn’t able to stop him later in the game.

The Vikings ended up winning the game in overtime 27-24 and even though there are no moral victories, there were definitely some bright spots.
