The Jacksonville Jaguars may be in the market for a head coach soon.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have assured head coach Doug Marrone his job is safe for the remainder of the season, but considering that they have already ousted general manager David Caldwell, it may be just a matter of time before they give Marrone the pink slip. If/When that happens, could the ‘Jags’ pursue Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh?

While Harbaugh is still under contract with the Wolverines, he is believed to be eyeing an NFL return, per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. Although his 71-49 record at Michigan may not look appealing at first sight, his success at his previous stops may be enough to convince decision-makers to offer him a head coaching job in the NFL.

Before becoming the Wolverines head coach, Harbaugh led the San Francisco 49ers to three consecutive NFC Championships reached Super Bowl 47. He was also the Stanford Cardinals head coach when they defeated Virginia Tech 40-12 in 2011’s Discover Orange Bowl. Prior to that, he reached the Pioneer Football League championship in back-to-back seasons as the head coach of the San Diego Toreros.

There’s no doubt Harbaugh has had success with different teams, but for reason, he always seems to rub people the wrong way. Looking at the whole package, should the Jaguars pursue him?
